    About Me

    Ashutosh Jha is a doctoral student at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta, in the Management Information Systems (MIS) Group. He has completed the coursework phase of the doctoral program and is in the dissertation phase, currently. He has completed his B.E.(Hons.) from BITS-Pilani, Goa Campus in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE). He has also served under various capacities in the IT/ITES industry for six years. While he started his career as a Software Developer, he later moved on to the System Engineering and Architecture roles, whereby he was majorly responsible for overseeing the End-to-End (E2E) design and Data Architecture of Java/J2EE/XML based Web-Service applications - crucial for the Operations and Business Support Systems (OSS/BSS) of various VoIP based products and services - of firms such as AT&T and British Telecom (BT).

    His broader research interests lie at the intersection of people, technology, and organizations. His focused research interests currently include: adoption and diffusion of ICT innovations, techno-economics of mobile information systems, radio spectrum management, social and business implications of mobile broadband services, and regulations and policy-making in the Indian telecommunications sector.
